Business Continuity Management (BCM)

The resilience of your essential business processes

Our goal: create prevention and recovery mechanisms to provide for potential damaging events of a company.
Our tool: Business Continuity Management, as one of two important tools in event prevention/resolution. It is important that the overall BCM/ Incident Management construct is viewed holistically. The following diagram serves to clarify the dependencies.

We consider prevention and coping as inseparable areas, which can only be successful if they are sufficiently harmonized. As explained at the beginning, BCM reflects the preventive measures and the preparation of the recovery mechanisms against damaging events.
The management systems located in the middle of the diagram represent the different levels of criticality in the management of damaging events. In order to implement this standards-based approach, critical data, applications and complete systems must be analyzed and classified according to criticality.
The implementation of such a requirement is divided into several aspects:

On the one hand, the provision of disaster recovery functions are technical parts of such a project.
At the other, the organization is affected too, business processes have to be defined and adapted, an emergency manual has to be created and last but not least the emergency has to be practiced.
Over the last five years, Enterprise Open Systems has successfully implemented BCM projects for its customers in the DACH region. Design, test scenarios, implementation, documentation and exercises are integral parts of our service.
